BookPeople of Moscow is now open! We’ve loaded up the walls with everything from fiction and essays to science and art, with six beautiful standing shelves (built right here in Moscow by Master’s Touch!) holding science fiction, mysteries, natural history, gardening, and more. Thanks to Walt, Dominic, Isaak, and everyone else who moved, chopped, glued, and cleaned. Special thanks to Richard Yutzy from Yutzy Home Services for all his great help in getting us up and running.
On the subject of thanks, we’ve got quite a few for everyone who helped put up books last Sunday – poor Tom Lamar, Pat Gilham, Pat Bower, Kat Brown, and many others had their alphabetizing skills put to the test. But their hard work paid off and now we’re rolling! It was wonderful to see all the old customers we’d been waiting to welcome back as well as some new ones looking to see what all the fuss was about!
Plenty of kids have come by and taken in the new children’s area, complete with Jesica’s own Moscow Monster dolls and a big stuffed bear for the littler ones. Our young adult section has been pillaged by passing Jazz Fest students as well, but Carol and Jesica are sure to fill it up once again.
We’ll be open now from 9:30 to 6:30 Sunday to Thursday and 9:30 to 8:00 on Friday and Saturday. We’ve seen some of our favorite customers come by but we’d love to see you too if you haven’t stopped in yet. Here’s to BookPeople being back!
