Getting in touch with us

Please spread the word: the old Bookpeople phone number no longer works; we were not able to secure it and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience to Bookpeople’s faithful customers. Even if you call it and get something that sounds like Bookpeople’s answering machine, please don’t leave a message as we won’t receive it.

We are in the process of setting up our new phone and fax numbers, internet service, websites, and so on. In the meantime, please use Carol’s cell phone for any Bookpeople business: 208-669-0763. You can also email us at writer@plumassignment.net. As soon as we have updated numbers, websites, and emails, we’ll post them quick as we can. You can always stop in the store during the day; while we are renovating we’ll be there most of the time. The construction noise and mess won’t always be very nice but we’ll try to be! 🙂

Although the store is undergoing renovations, we are still happy to take your special orders. During the first few weeks of January orders might take a week or two while we work out the kinks, but after we really get rolling in mid-January special orders that are in stock with our suppliers ought to arrive within a day or two. Our suppliers assure us that when we place orders with them by 2 pm for books that they have, that we will receive them the next day.

  1. Howdy, y’all asked what the NY Times subscription rates were…I paid $110.50 for 6 months of Sunday paper only. And if we were out of town, those weeks weren’t held but added on to the subscription (if we remembered to let Bob know).
Looking forward to the new store!
